In 2023, Rosneft and its subsidiaries organised more than 500 different events for children. The Company implements social infrastructure development projects in Russia’s regions aimed at creating a favourable environment for the education, upbringing and full life of children. To mark the International Day for the Protection of Children, employees of the Company’s subsidiaries actively participated in various national and regional charitable activities focused on children.
A new area of the Company’s social work with children is cooperation with the Movement of Firsts, the Russian Movement of Children and Youth. The volunteers of the enterprises and the participants of the Movement carried out many joint actions of a patriotic, educational and ecological nature. Rosneft employees, in cooperation with activists of the Movement of the Firsts, carried out large-scale work to involve the younger generation in scientific and career guidance activities.
In 2023, nearly 24,000 Company volunteers personally participated in activities to help orphans, people with disabilities and families in need.
Samaraneftegaz supported the reconstruction of a school in Samara, the opening of a new kindergarten in the Surgut settlement of the Sergievsky district, the construction of a swimming complex in the Kuibyshev district, and overhaul to the buildings of the Harmony educational centre in Otradnoye and two schools in Syzran.
Employees of Samaraneftegaz and Orenburgneft, together with representatives of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and traffic police, gave road safety lessons to children. Volunteers from Orenburgneft organised a Books for Children campaign, collecting and donating books to children from the Raduga Centre and the children’s ward of the N.A. Semashko Municipal Hospital in Buzuluk. The employees of the Novokuibyshevsk refinery and the Syzran refinery organised charity events for children from rehabilitation centres who are in a difficult situation in life.
Kuibyshev Refinery traditionally congratulated young citizens on a bright and cheerful holiday in one of Samara’s main parks.
The employees of the Saratov Refinery organised an interactive Ecology lesson for kindergarten children from the Zavodsky district of Saratov and helped improve the territory of the facility.
RN-Vankor organised a large-scale children’s athletics competition in the Krasnoyarsk territory, in which more than 250 children took part. And Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz held a city football tournament for 150 children on Children’s Day. The oil workers also brought gifts to the children of the Kuyumbinsky kindergarten, which has been sponsored by the enterprise for many years. Achinsk Refinery has implemented a number of long-term educational and charitable projects.
With the support of RN-Uvatneftegaz, computer classes and robotics rooms have been set up in educational institutions in the Tyumen region. In addition, the enterprise participates in federal and regional projects such as the «Orphans’ Needs Bank», «Help for Children with Disabilities» and «Key to Life».
Kharampurneftegaz volunteers bought sports equipment and organised a charity fundraising event for children from sponsored orphanages at the Siyaniye Severa orphanage in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra, Samotlorneftegaz activists took children from the Belgorod region and the new regions of Russia on a tour of the Samotlor Field History Museum, the First Exploration Well Memorial Complex and the Samotlor Heroes’ Square. The enterprise also continued to develop the digital education platform «Stoybishchaya school-garden» as part of a large-scale project to bring the Internet to the young generation of indigenous people in the North.
RN-Nyaganneftegaz volunteers organised charity events at a rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities.
RN-North-West staff organised a children’s art workshop on Nekrasov’s works at the classic’s estate museum in the Novgorod region, and an educational game «Travelling with the Polar Bear» at the Vladimirovsky country complex in the Leningrad region.
Rosneft Classes operate in the regions of the Company’s operations as part of the corporate programme to train future oil and gas industry specialists from school. More than 1,200 students graduated from Rosneft classes in 2023.
